Girls, Guts & Gaffs: Our Morehead City Fishing Trip Filled Up in 5 Hours!

There’s something about salt air, sea spray, and a boat full of badass women that makes my heart beat a little faster. I had a feeling this trip would be special, but I didn’t expect it to blow up the way it did.

I put out the call for a girls-only fishing trip out of Morehead City, North Carolina, aboard Ramblin’ Man Sportfishing—and y’all, it filled up in five hours.

Yes, five. I blinked and the boat was full.

This tells me two things:

1. Women want this.

2. I’m going to have to plan another one.

The messages flooded in from women who love to fish, want to try it for the first time, or are just craving a day on the water where they can let their guard down, laugh loud, be themselves, and maybe catch a few monsters while they're at it.

Ramblin’ Man is the perfect boat for it. She’s a beast—well-equipped, comfortable, and crewed by people who know how to put you on fish and keep the vibes just right. Morehead City is one of my favorite ports on the North Carolina coast, with access to some of the best offshore fishing on the East Coast.

I’m excited not just for the fishing, but for the connection. There’s a certain magic that happens when women come together on the water—no drama, no judgment, just support, storytelling, and shared stoke. I already know this trip is going to be one for the books.
