Rooted in the Stars and the Soil

I’ve always felt most alive with my feet in the sand, the wind in my hair, and the sky painted in colors only nature knows how to create. There’s something about being outside—in the woods, on the water, under a blanket of stars—that feels sacred. For me, nature isn’t just beautiful; it’s spiritual. It’s where I go to ground myself, to listen, to reconnect.

Over the years, I’ve realized that spirituality doesn’t have to look like church pews or incense. Sometimes, it looks like sunrise on a glassy marsh, the hush before a turkey gobbles back at your call, or the moment a dolphin breaks the surface, as if reminding you that magic still exists. Nature is a reflection of spirit—wild, wise, and always speaking, if you’re willing to be still and listen.

I’m also lucky to have friends who see the world the same way. Our conversations aren’t just surface-level—they often meander into the stars. We love talking about astrology, trying to understand ourselves and each other a little better through our signs. Whether it’s blaming Mercury retrograde for the week’s chaos or diving into the depths of someone’s moon sign, it’s never just “woo-woo” to us. It’s a language we share, a fun and sometimes freakishly accurate way of tapping into something bigger than us.

One of our favorite things to do is book tarot sessions with Stacey from Iris X Readings. Stacey has a gift—not just for reading the cards but for holding space. Her readings feel less like fortune-telling and more like soul-mirroring. It’s comforting and powerful to have someone reflect your energy back to you with clarity and compassion. Every time I walk away from a session, I feel more in tune, more grounded, and more inspired.

Being spiritual doesn’t mean having all the answers. It means being open to the mystery. It means honoring your gut, trusting the path, and letting the universe surprise you. For me, that journey is deeply tied to nature and nurtured by the people I surround myself with—those who also find beauty in the stars and the soil.

If you ever feel disconnected, I encourage you to step outside, take a deep breath, and remember: your spirit is part of this wild, beautiful world, too.
